Day 2: an early morning and a messy breakfast...

So, it's about quarter past six in the morning, and I'm sat on a huge empty train, which will soon be leaving Weston station for London. I'm going to a Woodcraft development meeting which is being held the other side of London, hence the early train. (Sorry about the lack of paragraphs, btw, I'm doing this from my phone.) Anyhow, we're just leaving now, and I'm going to tell you about my slightly disastrous breakfast this morning... I was woken up at 5 am by my alarm and, after a little extra sleep, went downstairs to the kitchen in my PJs (yup, the same ones as yesterday) to make myself some breakfast. I decided I would have a boiled egg (we have chickens, so we have quite a few eggs in the fridge). Obviously, boiling a whole saucepan of water for one egg wasn't going to be feasible, so I decided to boil a jug of water in the microwave and cook it in that. Now, because it was about 20 past 5 in the morning and I don't think very clearly at that early hour, this seemed like an ingenious idea. However, as you will probably know, you can't cook eggs in a microwave. So, to cut a long story short, my egg exploded in the microwave. It wasn't as bad as it could've been because it was in a jug of water, but even so, there was quite a bit of egg on the inside of the microwave. Silly girl. So I used 100 ml of water to clean the microwave and another 100 ml to wash the jug. Then I put some clean water in the jug and boiled it for tea and just had toast for breakfast. By this point it was about quarter to six, so I went upstairs to get dressed (in the same clothes as yesterday). Then I finished packing my rucsack (packed lunch, PJs, towel, revision, knitting, Rubick's cube, kazoo, you know, the usual stuff...), and put on my walking boots. Then Dad drove me to the station, at about 5 past six. We bought a ticket and here I am now, about halfway to Bristol, recounting my tragic breakfast... Hope you enjoyed reading this xD Naomi x
